A good place to pick up a bargain furniture wise
Have a backup plan!We arranged to have a 3 seater and single chair to be collected on the same day our new one arrived. After nobody had turned up all day I rang to be told they had tried to call to check collection was still going ahead, but they had wrote the wrong number down so didn't bother to send the collection. So we are now left with 4 pieces of furniture in the sitting room with a 2 year old to contend with.
Quite a large selection of furniture and other household things, although nothing we were really looking for. We were wanting a 3 piece suite to replace the old one we have, and they seem to separate the suites and sell each bit separately. No prices on items as they work on a donation basis, but if you ask them they will say a price they would like.Great if you are just moving in to a first home, and need things urgently, although a few bits were quite pricey for the condition.Worth a look if nothing else.
Arrived as arranged but refused to take wardrobe because we had dismantled it (to make it easier to move). My husband offered to put it together which would only have taken a few minutes. A real waste as together with matching bed and dressing table it made a lovely set. We were trying to help somneone less fortunate than ourselves but feel Durham Help scheme not really committed. Will look elsewhere next time
